Electric pipe or conduit is a device that acts as a protective cover and protects the conductors passed through it from possible damages, as well as protecting people from unwanted contact. The use of electric pipes in commercial and industrial buildings, hotels, hospitals, office buildings, stores and underground facilities is usually considered necessary, but it may not be used in the wiring of buildings and apartments. The standards specify the number and size of conductors that can be passed through a standard size pipe. Different types of conduit are designed and built for specific purposes.
All types of conduits
Different materials of conduits include metal (hot galvanized - cold galvanized - black), flexible metal, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), rigid galvanized (RGC) or rigid steel (RSC) and IMC with/without coating. Each of these items has its own characteristics and instructions in terms of price, connection method, place of use, conditions of use, bending, etc.
